I saw an idea somewhere on pinterest to have a night dedicated to the Laurels who graduated. It was an amazing night, & I thought I would share our ideas in case other people could benefit from them :) We only had 2 girls graduate, & our theme for the night was, 'Your Future is Bright.' We had a fancy dinner at one of my counselors houses preceded by a program! The program was held in the living room, very short, about 20 minutes. I started off with a few words of encouragment and love as their president, following me was a representative from the YSA, & then a counselor from the Relief Society presidency. They brought a few goodies (the daughters of kingdom book, & a few other things) to welcome the girls! The bishop closed with his remarks & then we served everyone. The only people invited were those who participated in the program mentioned above, the 2 Laurels & their parents, the YW presidency & Laurel advisor, & the whole bishopric. We had chicken cordon bleu, asparagus, jasmine rice, and a dinner roll! Here are a few pictures from the evening :)

We got them gifts with things they could take with them to college such as a tide to go pen, index cards, a loofah, febreeze, highliters, chapstick, gum, post its, a lint roller, and chocolate. I bought these adorable bins from Target (they were a little expensive), and I first filled it with that green stuff from Michaels, the bad smelling stuff that you stick fake flowers into? Then i covered it with shredded green paper. I either hot glued, or tied with twine each item onto a skewer, then placed it into the bin & moved it all around until I got the look I wanted. I also added some pretty flowers to make it look more like a bouqet!
It was a great night & I'm going to miss my girls a lot!
