Embarque

First I have to mention that as I write this blog post I'm listening to the new lds youth soundtrack for this year. I absolutely love it & listen to it often! You can find the amazing songs here.

Second, last night we had Nuevos Comienzos (New Beginnings) & it went amazing! The spirit was so strong & we just had so much fun! Our theme was 'going on a cruise' to follow the Embarque scripture and theme for the year! We gave everyone leis and everything was nautical. The best part was my first counselors husband was in the Navy, so he had dozens of cool nautical decorations around their house & he very kindly let us borrow them! The girls put together a skit piggybacking off the idea found here. We put our own spin on it & the boat was called Queen Ester. Each girl represented a stop/value, ie- Port Fé, Naturaleza Divina Bay, etc. The people who boarded the cruise were the new beehives, their were two & during Individual Worth Resort they had some time to show off their talents :) It was a lot of fun!

Here was the program that we paired with a calendar for the year & a handout on 10 ways to help your daughter with personal progress. Sorry the pictures loaded backwards so they start with the end of the night to the beginning :)

A member of the bishopric spoke at the end & he brought one rose for each of the girls, how sweet!

We finally got a plaque, & since this is a new ward, this sweet young woman is the first one to complete her personal progress!

We had two gifts for the girls. One of my counselors made little mirrors for the girls to put in the lockers! In the front in glitter it says Embark2015! Then in the treasure chest their were cds that I made from this years new music.

It was a beautiful night
